2K Games has released a new trailer for Mafia 3 focussing on storyline and revealing a release date. The trailer follows the game's protagonist Lincoln Clay as he gets involved in the mafia war in New Bordeaux, a city based on New Orleans. Besides the storyline the trailer shows various gameplay scenes and awe inspiring map design.

Along with the release of the trailer comes the announcement of a pre-order bonus deal called "Family Kick-Back" giving purchasers access to 3 exclusive vehicles and various weapons. Whether additional pre-order bonus packs will be announced remains to be seen.

Mafia 3 was first rumored to be in development in August 2012 though wasnt officially announced until July 28th 2015. The game's location New Bordeaux is designed to be an open world, allowing players to freely explore the game's world. Players can complete objectives using a variety of approaches. For example, players can use the weapons provided in the game, like shotguns and revolvers, to eliminate enemies. Alternatively, they can make use of stealth tactics throughout the entire mission without being noticed by enemies.

The game is scheduled to release October 7th for the PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4.
