2K Games has released a new patch for the PC version of Mafia 3 that addresses the frame rate cap issue that prevented players from playing the game at high frame rates.
With the new patch players are able to play the game at 60 frames per second by selecting the option via the game's graphics settings. Even though players can now increase the frame rate limit cap recent Steam reviews indicate that the game is still suffering from several issues.
Now that players are able to test the game at 60 frames per second hundreds of people are reporting about poor PC optimization, stating that even systems with two NVIDIA GTX 980 graphic cards aren't enough to maintain a solid 60 frames per second frame rate.
The patch also does not address other reported issues such as frequent crashes and clunky mouse control movement.
