Development studio ArenaNet has launched a tweaked version of the seasonal Wintersday event for Guild Wars 2. The event lasts for three weeks.

During the event players are able to play a variety of Wintersday-themed minigames and explore an ice cold version of the city Divinity's Reach.

This year the seasonal event features a number of welcomed changes, including slightly upgraded decorations in Divinity's Reach and the ability to play the popular minigame Toypocalypse with a coordinated party of friends.

A new temporary mount race event is also available for the duration of the event. In the race players speed through the streets on their favorite mount, or dash through the falling snow on foot to earn new annual and daily achievements.

The Winter Wonderland jumping puzzle has received an update as well. Each of its three routes now presents jumpers with a different difficulty, ranging from the sedate and scenic Quaggan Route to the fast-paced Gingerbread Route. Players who choose the difficult route will receive greater rewards at the end.

Perhaps less exciting but no less noteworthy is the introduction of several new Wintersday-themed guild decorations that allow players to stylize their guild hall and the introduction of a new snowflake item that was designed to reduce inventory clutter and excessive inventory management.

The Guild Wars 2 Wintersday event will be available for the next three weeks.
