Development studio Mojang has confirmed that it has delayed the upcoming graphical update for Minecraft. The update is supposed to bring new shaders and 4K resolution rendering.
In a recent statement, the studio states that it needs more time to develop the update because there is "still a lot of work to be done".
The Super Duper Graphics Pack will feature new shaders and bring 4K resolution rendering to the Xbox One version of the game. The PC version of the game already supported 4K resolution rendering.
Both the PC and Xbox One versions of the game will also be able to make use of updated 4K resolution textures.
The Super Duper Graphics Pack update was scheduled to launch this fall but is now scheduled to launch in early 2018.
