Depth Analysis, the Australian company that supplied the motion-tracking technology used by Team Bondi in LA Noire, has released a hilarious blooper reel that shows just how well facial expressions translated to actual ingame footage. Most of the scenes are actual scenes from the game though the video shows even voice actors need more than one take to get that perfect experience into the game.

Rockstar has just released a new, much-needed, patch for the PC version of L.A. Noire. The patch fixes a few things though not as much as we would have hoped. Perhaps this is not the full change log but the patch is said to include the following.FixesFix to prevent mouse cursor from turning on when using -str command line to improve performance.Render state optimizations to improve performance.Single-threaded renderer option added to game launcher to improve graphics performance on certain setups.Sadly there are still a number of things left to fix that are seemingly not addressed, for example there is no real 4:3 resolution support, no numpad support, and still no v-sync options. These things are not listed in the changelog which leads us to believe they have not been fixed.

While earlier we have reported on a possible L.A. Noire demo coming to Steam, it seems that now Rockstar has come forward to tell us that there are no plans for a PC demo on Steam. It does, however, leave us with the question of what Steam ID 202430 is used for.Perhaps the L.A. Noire demo listing is used for reviewers that got hands on an early copy of the game, it would make sense since the game is set to release in just a few days on November 8th 2011. More news as it hits us!

Recently the STEAM registery files have been updated to add a possible game ID for a demo version of L.A. Noire. ClientRegistery blobs are often used to get STEAM clients ready for new games, such as the L.A. Noire demo which is currently listed under ID 202430.All in all, it's safe to say that a demo version of L.A. Noire for the PC is coming very soon. The game is set to release in just 2 weeks time so there is plenty of time for Rockstar and Valve to roll out a demo version on the STEAM platform. Thanks to @nikymatev for sending this in!

In a recent preview of L.A. Noire: The complete Edition for PC (and interview with Jeronimo Barrera) over at IGN new specifications have been revealed that shed a light on the features that we PC gamers can expect in L.A. Noire for the PC.Aside from the 3D vision support there are other features worth mentioning, also included is a wide range of graphic and performance-specific customization for the PC version. Players can set resolution, framerate, anti-aliasing (up to 6X), anisotropic filtering (up to 4X) and SSAO.Players can also set user interface scaling, shadows, textures, lighting and overall level of detail. Full keyboard mapping is also user-customizable, and plug-and-play gamepad support is available for players who would rather use a controller instead.Jeronimo Barrera goes on to add, "We always strive to release our titles on PC whenever it makes sense from a development resources and platform perspective. We're big fans of PC games and love getting our games into PC gamers' hands as quickly as possible." .. "In the case of LA Noire, we did not have the time to begin PC development until we were able to wrap up work on the console version of the game, and all of its DLC. It's also important not to rush our PC development, so we can deliver a high-caliber experience that not only takes advantage of the platform's benefits, but is also worth the wait."We can't wait to see how the PC version of the game turns out, though, knowing Rockstar it'll most likely be definitely worth the wait.

After months of speculating about Team Bondi being bankrupt it seems that now new reports tell us that the L.A. Noire developer is set to close it's doors for good. Apparently many of the workers of Team Bondi have already found a new job over at a rivaling company, KMM.According to CVG reports a liquidator has been appointed to handle the payment of Team Bondi's outstanding debts and the sale of its remaining assets, effectively marking the final closure of the company.Readers should take heart in the fact that this does not mean that L.A. Noire for PC is affected by this situation. Rockstar Games owns the rights for the PC version and therefore will still release the PC version of the game.We have contacted Team Bondi for comments though they do not appear to be interested in replying.

Rockstar Games has just released 3 new screenshots that feature L.A. Noire for PC. In addition to the 3 new screenshots Rockstar has also uploaded the other 14 in high resolution that we've seen in the CVG gallery earlier last week.Upon inspection of the high resolution screenshots you can clearly see all the work that has been put into the PC version of the game, though it seems that there still is no anti-aliasing in the game, so in short this means that graphics wise we'll most likely see the same jaggied graphics that we've seen in Grand Theft Auto 4.

Just recently CVG released 14 new L.A. Noire PC screenshots that really show just how much better L.A. Noire looks on the PC compared to consoles. Although not confirmed it looks like anti-aliasing will be making a comeback to the RAGE engine that was also used in Grand Theft Auto 4, however anti-aliasing was strangely lacking there. The new screenshots also show the high resolution and high quality textures that are being used in the PC version. In recent events, Rockstar Games has updated their website backend with some new data that show both L.A. Noire and Grand Theft Auto V listings in the Social Club multiplayer event data. Although they appear to only be commented in by a developer, it's still interesting to see that atleast something is going on behind the scenes. We've done some more background checking on Social Club to see if we could pull a logo off the framework but no dice so far. We guess that it won't be long until Rockstar decides to pull the commented intel from their webserver, so here's a screenshot.Seeing as L.A. Noire is mentioned on this list as well makes us wonder if Rockstar Games is planning multiplayer modes for the PC version of the game that is supposed to release this fall.

In the recent weeks we have heard about L.A. Noire making a move to the PC platform. Though, after all those weeks, we still haven't heard anything about a release date for the game. Rumours tell us that a complete edition of the game has been spotted in the Czech Republic, though we are unable to confirm these rumours.A local retailer in the Czech Republic has apparently leaked the release date and tells us that the L.A. Noire: Complete edition is supposed to be released in November. As fiscal Q3 is almost over it would seem wise for Rockstar Games to announce a release date very soon, possibly even this week, to take doubts away from investors and the fans. The whole release date debacle seems to be giving fans the impression that L.A. Noire for the PC is most likely to be delayed. Even stranger is the fact that Rockstar Games has announced that L.A. Noire is making it's move for the PC, and yet they still haven't provided a release date, could this be a further indication that L.A. Noire PC might be delayed? Who knows, be sure to check back soon for the latest!Update We have contacted Rockstar Games for comments and they currently have no plans for a complete edition of L.A. Noire.

Recent rumours have led us to believe that Rockstar Games is readying to announce a release date for the PC version of L.A. Noire, the popular crime-solving Los Angeles based shooter. Many gaming websites also list L.A. Noire for PC to be released in Q3 2011, which is July, August, and September.Rumours tell us that IGN has shortly displayed September 30th 2011 as a possible release date. Even though we can't confirm it, it would make sense as Q4 is right around the corner. We'll keep taps on the situation and share any new rumours!

Today EDGE is reporting that L.A. Noire has won the Edinburgh Interactive Edge award. Presented at Edinburgh Interactive today, the award recognises the game that the Edge team feels did the most this year to blaze a trail for new interactive experiences for players. The main thing that got L.A. Noire this award was the usage of the motion technology as it helped push the envelope on L.A. Noire. Edge publisher James Binns presented the award to Mondo Ghulam, animation director at Rockstar North, which worked on the game with beleaguered Team Bondi."I'm a little bit embarrassed, a bit worried even," Ghulam said. "Eight years of my career have been spent producing very boring cutscenes. Anyway, LA Noire has many qualities, and people have focused on Motionscan. What people maybe don't know is how much my colleagues and myself worked at Rockstar North, and travelled round the world with Team Bondi to produce this game. Working several years, in fact, to make this game what it is."Source Next-Gen.biz

There has been lots of trouble surrounding L.A. Noire developer Team Bondi. First workers noted that certain people were left off the credits list, now it seems Team Bondi is about to be bought out by Kennedy Miller Mitchell, a Sydney-based production studio that works across a range of media, including games.Team Bondi has been in the news alot lately due to development problems with L.A. Noire as well as the fact that certain workers were left off the credits roll at the end of the game. It is even said that Rockstar Games developers had to step in to save the game. There are rumors that Team Bondi went bankrupt, or that KMM simply just bought the studio. No official documents have been made available to the public, but the word on the street is Brendan McNamara will be joining KMM too. Many of the complaints filed against Team Bondi had to do with McNamara's unrelenting crunch demands, so I'm sure many of the staff will not be too pleased about this.  The company has supposedly offered a job to every worker of Team Bondi though that is still a rumour. Do note however that the PC version of L.A. Noire remains unaffected by this development as the PC version is currently being developed by Rockstar Leeds. We have contact Team Bondi to confirm this story though yet no official statement has been made.
