Tripwire Interactive has announced that the upcoming shooter game Rising Storm 2: Vietnam is now available on Steam for pre-purchase. The game development studio has also released the PC system specifications for the game.

The new game is the direct sequel to the original shooter game Rising Storm that released in 2013. The original game was a standalone expansion pack for the popular shooter game Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad.

Rising Storm 2: Vietnam is a said to be a hardcore tactical first person shooter game set in the "brutal killing fields of the Vietnam War". The game aims to be an authentic recreation of the Vietnam War, allowing players to join the fight on both sides of the war: the powerful United States Military or the fearless Vietnamese resistance fighters.

The game is expected to be released next month but is already available on Steam for pre-purchase, for which Tripwire is currently advertising a 25% off discount sale.

At the release of the game, the Standard Edition will be priced at $24.99 in North America and €22.99 in Europe and the Digital Deluxe Edition at $29.99 in North America and €27.99 in Europe. The pre-purchase discount offers the Digital Deluxe Edition version at $22.49 in North America and €20.99 in Europe from now until launch.

The game's Digital Deluxe Edition contains a mix of exclusive in-game items, cosmetic unlocks and bonuses, including two camouflage "Boonie" hats, 4 Cosmetic Item Unlocks and the game's official soundtrack.

Along with the appearance of the game on Steam, Tripwire has also released the PC system specifications for the game, which seem to indicate that the studio aims to have the game run at high framerates on a wide variety of hardware.
