ArenaNet has announced a new update for its Guild Wars 2 World versus World game mode. The Tame the Warclaw update introduces the first mount to the competitive game mode.
Although the studio hasn't revealed any details, the mount is rumored to give players three abilities: Battle Maul, Chain Pull and Evade.
The first is a standard attack dismount move similar to other mounts, the second is a a skill that helps take down gates and the third provides evade and swiftness to break through enemy lines.
The Warclaw mount has to be unlocked with World versus World ability points. A week-long bonus event will start once the update is live to give players faster access. The mount will also be available in PvE after unlocking it in WvW.
The Guild Wars 2 Warclaw update releases on February 26, 2019.
Update: ArenaNet has confirmed the mount will also be usable in PvE.
