The popular Guild Wars 2 Wintersday holiday event has returned with new pieces of content, development studio ArenaNet announced earlier today. The update brings back holiday decorations in the western district of Divinity's Reach.
Wintersday is an annual event in the world of Guild Wars 2 in which players are able to participate in several Holiday-themed minigames that can be accessed through portals in one of the game's major cities Divinity's Reach.
This year's edition features several new pieces of content: unlockable ice castle-themed guild hall decorations, a 10-player "Secret Lair of the Snowmen" instance with unique rewards, new Wintergreen-themed weapons, new Candy Cane-themed weapons, new minipets, and rare items to acquire via gift boxes.
In addition to the new content, the event also features all content from previous years, including the Wintersday mount race that was added last year.
The Guild Wars 2 Wintersday event started today, December 12, 2018, and lasts until January 2, 2019.
