PUBG tropical island map Sanhok returns for testing, gets official name

The third map for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds codenamed Savage has returned for testing. The game's test servers are currently open to test recent changes.

The game's test servers are currently running the map between May 10th and May 14th.

This round of testing is also the first time all current owners are able to join. Previously players were forced to apply via a special beta invitation page that was said to give out a limited amount of keys but ultimately never ran out.

The third map is said to be inspired by a wide variety of islands across southeast Asia, including those found in Thailand and the Philippines. This is also where the map got its new name "Sanhok" as it is inspired by the Thai word for fun, which is pronounced as "Sah-nook".
