Development studio Bluehole has launched a limited key redemption campaign for PlayerUnkown's Battlegrounds' upcoming third map.

According to a recent announcement, the studio has started giving out keys to test the new map on a completely separate testing branch. The alpha testing phase is said to only be available for a limited number of players.

According to the studio, the map is still in a very early alpha stage and is not ready for large-scale testing. The testing of the new map will start on April 2, 2018, and will last until April 5, 2018.

Those interested are able to redeem a test key via a special event page that launched earlier today. The key will give players access to PUBG: Closed Experimental Server on Steam.

The new map is codenamed Savage and in this first test it will only be available in solo mode with first-person camera view enabled for North American and European players. Third-person camera view only will be the designated view for all other regions.

The studio will be hosting additional testing events after this first initial testing phase that are said to be larger in scope and may feature different game parameters.

Update: The Closed Experimental Server has received an update that allows squad mode in addition to the initial solo mode only test.

This comment has been removed. Yeah not a lot of streamers playing it just because of that reason. I guess it's so that people would focus more on the 'test' than just playing...which of course everyone is doing anyways.
