A new update for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has introduced the dynamic weather system to the reworked Erangel map. The weather system features fog, rain, thunder and hail.
The 4.2 PC update features several new features aside from the new weather system, including destructible objects, new sound options, vehicle engine toggle button, scooter handling stabilization tweaks, and crosshair visibility improvements.

Players will find the vehicle engine toggle button to be particularly helpful. Vehicle engines can now be toggled by pressing Z-button to allow players to more easily hide nearby.
The engine can be also turned off while driving, after gaining momentum and can be used for quiet, tactical maneuvers. Once the engine is off, pressing either the W-button to accelerate or Z-button to toggle will instantly start the engine again.
