A new patch for the battle royale game PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has brought the Erangel visual overhaul to live servers. The overhaul was announced last month.

The new Erangel map overhaul features new building styles, more realistic scenery and terrain, and some new and changed areas within the map.

The map was first tested on the game's test server last month to allow players to get in, test map stability, check out all the updates, and provide their feedback before it was released.

The update also brings various other changes, including vehicle skins, new weapon skins, turntable and car audio systems, vehicle visual overhauls and weapon and rebalance.

The new turntable item is particularly noteworthy because it is said to be usable to create traps to lure out players by placing the object somewhere close-by.

The new PUBG 4.1 update is now available on live servers.
