ArenaNet has delayed the release of its upcoming Guild Wars 2 World versus World Warclaw mount update. The update was scheduled to release today.

The update was delayed following the recent announcement that the studio had to lay off a significant number of employees. The layoffs are part of NCSoft's corporate restructuring. The publisher had canceled two unannounced projects, one of which is rumored to be a mobile game.

In a statement ArenaNet notes it will be taking the extra time to "focus on our friends and colleagues". The studio is closed until Thursday to give employees time to process the news.

The Warclaw mount has to be unlocked with World versus World ability points. A week-long bonus event will start once the update is live to give players faster access. The mount will also be available in PvE after unlocking it in WvW.

The Guild Wars 2 Tame the Warclaw update is now scheduled to release on March 5, 2019.
