The Steam Early Access launch of the Battle Royale game Fear The Wolves has been delayed, development studio Vostok Games announced.
According to a recent statement, the studio decided to delay the Early Access launch because of the feedback it has received from closed beta testing.
The game will drop players in a Chernobyl-style radioactive wasteland. Deadly mutated wildlife, the organic spread of radiation, unexplainable anomalies, and 99 other players stand in their way on their march to the extraction helicopter inside the final zone.
Players will have to defend themselves with an arsenal of scavenged weaponry, including fire-axes, machine guns and more.
Unlike other Battle Royale games, the end game focuses on a single player being extracted by a helicopter. However, killing all players will also lead to victory. The location of the extraction zone will vary game to game, forcing adaptation and rewarding intricate map knowledge.
Fear The Wolves was supposed to make its way to Steam Early Access last Wednesday, July 18, 2018, but has now been delayed. A new date has yet to be announced.
