The PC version of the popular battle royale shooter game PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has received another update this week. It is the third update since the game's official release.

While the update is roughly a gigabyte in size, the patch notes seem rather uneventful. Just like the second update, this update focuses on server and client performance issues.

Players will notice there are now several lobby starting areas instead of just a single one. This change will prevent many character models from being rendered to increase frame rates.

In addition, the weapons that were on display in the original lobby area have been removed to avoid players from causing chaos before the start of a match.

The update is also said to include a new anti-cheat system that gathers more data. The studio did not comment on what the new system does nor what data it sends to its servers.
