PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds players are reporting severe frame rate issues following the latest patch for the game that was released yesterday.
The reported frame rate issues are so severe that some users are reporting drops to 10 frames per second, making the game unplayable.
According to a recent post, the patch that was pushed on the game's live servers yesterday was supposed to combat cheaters by implementing new detection methods. The patch supposedly wasn't tested prior to the roll out.
The development studio behind the game states that it is aware players are having issues but notes it has no plans to revert the patch because it considers combating cheaters to be more important.
When the frame rate issues will be resolved is unknown. Some players are reporting slightly improved frame rates by running the game in fullscreen windowed mode and by disabling the "Highlights Auto Capture" option.
