In addtion to new playable areas the expansion also brings new weapons to the game, including meat hooks as melee weapons, a harpoon gun and a lever action rifle. The expansion also features a new armor set called the Marine Combat armor.

The storyline of the expansion partially revolves around fights between the Far Harbor citizens and the Children of Atom, a radiation-worshiping cult that is prominently featured in both Fallout 3 and Fallout 4. "When we were planning Far Harbor we knew that we wanted alot of different endings, or different ways of resolving the conflicts between the groups." said Will Shen, lead designer of the game. "Not only a conflict that encompasses the entire island, but also conflicts within the groups themselves." Shen adds.

The Fallout 4 Far Harbor expansion is available now for all versions of the game. The expansion can be bought separately for $25 or through the Fallout 4 Season Pass for $30 which will also give you access to other content packs.
