Game modder Kaze Emanuar has released a new gameplay video of the upcoming Super Mario 64 multiplayer hack Super Mario 64 Online. The hack aims to bring 24 player online multiplayer functionality to the game.
The new gameplay video shows the progress made since the hack was announced earlier this month when Emanuar uploaded footage of an early development build.
In particular the new video shows off the new selectable characters that will be featured in the hack, which include Mario, Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, Yoshi, Birdo, Peach, and Toad.
It is the first time that the game has seen online multiplayer on this scale. There have been other attempts in the past though those were all limited to support up to 2 player at a time.
The multiplayer hack is scheduled to release on September 28, 2017, and will require both an emulator and a modern internet speed to work properly.
