Game modder Kaze Emanuar has released a gameplay video of an upcoming Super Mario 64 emulator hack that adds 24 player online multiplayer functionality to the game.
In the released video up to 8 players can be seen interacting with each other in the world of Super Mario 64 without limits. Players can freely travel to any of the worlds and stay seamlessly connected.
It is the first time that the game has seen online multiplayer on this scale. There have been other attempts in the past though those were all limited to support up to 2 player at a time.
The multiplayer hack is scheduled to release on September 28, 2017, and will require both an emulator and a modern internet speed to work properly.
