2K Games has released a new teaser trailer for Mafia 3. The video is part of a larger trailer that will be revealed at E3 2016. The developer plans to showcase the game at the event next week.
Mafia 3 was first rumored to be in development in August 2012 though the game wasn't officially announced until July 28th of last year. The game's location New Bordeaux is designed to be an open world, allowing players to freely explore the game's world.
Players can complete objectives using a variety of approaches. For example, players can use the weapons provided in the game, like shotguns and revolvers, to eliminate enemies. Alternatively, they can make use of stealth tactics throughout the entire mission without being noticed by enemies.
Noteworthy is one of the teaser trailer's shots where both Joe and Vito can be seen, the two main characters from Mafia 2. It is unclear in what way the characters from the previous title in the franchise are connected to the story and characters from the third game.
The game is scheduled to release October 7th for the PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4.
