Ubisoft has just officialy revealed Watch Dogs 2, the game is the direct sequel to the first game that released in 2014. Along with the reveal of the game the developer has broadcasted a livestream to showcase the game's features and has released the game's first cinematic trailer.
As expected the game is set in a modern, futuristic rendition of San Francisco. Just like the first game it allows the player to use extensive hacking capabilities to their advantage. Players play as Marcus, a young hipster hacker that is not connected to the first game. Movement in the game has been greatly improved, allowing players to parcour over objects and walls to traverse the city.
Curiously Ubisoft has chosen to utilize several cinematic CGI, or computer generated imagery, shots to advertise the game in the first trailer. After the release of the original Watch Dogs game players complained about how the developer had downgraded the graphics compared to the game's initial reveal in 2014. Ubisoft seems to want to continue this trend with Watch Dogs 2.
Earlier today a commercial for the game aired early on Twitch, it was taken down shortly after. Since then Ubisoft has tried to remove copies of the commercial from popular video streaming websites, including YouTube and Vimeo, by abusing the website's DMCA copyright claim systems.
The game is scheduled to launch on November 15th for PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4.
