Indie developer ConcernedApe has announced that the farming simulation RPG game Stardew Valley will be launching on consoles on December 14th 2016. The game was already available on the PC.
In the game players inherit an old farm plot in Stardew Valley. Armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins players will have to set out on an adventure to progress through the game.
While the player engages in all those activities he or she must also focus on earning in-game money to expand their farm.
The game is praised for its wide variety of content and role-playing gameplay features. When the game was first released on Steam it sold over a million copies within two months.
Aside from the upcoming console release the game's developer is also planning on expanding the game by including co-op multiplayer and adding support for other platforms.
Stardew Valley will launch on December 14th 2016 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. A Nintendo Switch version is expected to launch in 2017.
