Indie development studio Ys net has released updated PC system requirements for Shenmue 3. The game releases in November but won't be making its way to Steam this year.
Development studio Ys Net already released system requirements last year, but now that it is closer to a release the studio has released updated requirements.
The game's Kickstarter campaign raised over $6,000,000 with over 69,000 backers in July of 2015 and has been in development ever since. The game is currently being developed by Ys Net, an independent development studio founded by franchise creator Yu Suzuki.
The release of the game has become controversial because it suddenly became an one-year Epic Games Store exclusive title without informing Kickstarter backers. Those who expected to receive a Steam key will be able to request a refund in the near future.
Shenmue 3 sees the continuation of the epic story-driven saga. The player controls teenage martial artist Ryo Hazuki as he investigates his father's murder.
Players must explore the game's open world, searching for clues, examining objects and talking to non-player characters for information, taking them further into enemy territory, deeper into mystery, and even closer to their destiny.
The game is said to be the true sequel to the previous open-world role-playing games in the franchise. The game is built upon Unreal Engine 4 to power its visuals.
Shenmue 3 is now scheduled to release on November 19, 2019, for PC and PlayStation 4.
