According to a recent announcement, the system requirements for the PC version of the game are still tentative because it is still in development.

The requirements indicate that the game will target the 64 bit versions of  Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10 machines.

In addition, an Intel Core i 4460 at 3.4 GHz or equivalent and a GeForce GTX 650 or equivalent are required to run the game.

Perhaps the most surprising detail is that gamers are required to free 100 GB of hard disk space in order to install the game.

The game's Kickstarter campaign raised over $6 million US with over 69,000 backers in July of 2015 and has been in development ever since. The game is currently being developed by Ys Net, an independent development studio founded by franchise creator Yu Suzuki.

The game was supposed to release this year but was delayed to 2019 because the studio needed more development time.

System requirements

  Minimum specifications
Processor (Intel) Core i5 4460 @ 3.4 GHz
RAM memory 4 GB
GPU (Nvidia) GeForce GTX 650

Shenmue 3 is scheduled to release in 2019 for PC and PlayStation 4.
