The upcoming open-world action adventure game Shenmue 3 will not be coming to Steam in November. The game will be an Epic Games Store exclusive title for a year.
According to a recent announcement, development studio Ys Net is "happy" to announce that the game will be an Epic Games Store exclusive title. The decision was made with publisher Deep Silver. The publisher was also behind the decision to make Metro Exodus an Epic Games Store exclusive title.
Shenmue 3 sees the continuation of the epic story-driven saga. The player controls teenage martial artist Ryo Hazuki as he investigates his father's murder.
Players must explore the game's open world, searching for clues, examining objects and talking to non-player characters for information, taking them further into enemy territory, deeper into mystery, and even closer to their destiny.
The game is said to be the true sequel to the previous open-world role-playing games in the franchise. The game is built upon Unreal Engine 4 to power its visuals.
Shenmue 3 is scheduled to release on November 19, 2019. The game will be making its way to Steam 12 months after its release in November 2020.
