Indie development studio New World Interactive has announced it will be releasing its shooter game Insurgency: Sandstorm for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this year. The game is already available for PC.
Insurgency: Sandstorm brings extended gameplay possibilities, improved immersion, new co-op and competitive objective-based game modes, all with the lethal tactical action that made Insurgency popular.

For this title, the studio has moved away from Valve's Source engine and has built it on Epic's Unreal Engine to power its improved visuals.
In our 2019 review of the PC version we gave Insurgency: Sandstorm a 7 out of 10, noting that its game performance is hit or miss. However, the game has seen numerous updates over the past year that target some of the issues listed.
Insurgency: Sandstorm will release for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on August 25, 2020. It was released for the PC on December 12, 2018
