Development studio New World Interactive has released a new gameplay video of its upcoming shooter game Insurgency: Sandstorm. The game releases in September.
It is the first time that the studio shows raw gameplay footage that also includes the game's minimalistic user interface and doesn't feature streaming overlays.
Although the video is still a compilation of selected shots, it provides an in-depth look at some of the gameplay mechanics and shows the direction the studio wants to take with the sequel to the popular 2014 shooter game Insurgency.
In addition to the new video, the studio has announced that it will start accepting pre-orders for the game. Those who pre-order will gain access to several beta testing events.
The first beta test will take place between August 9, 2018, and August 13, 2018. The studio hopes to gather valuable user feedback during these events.
During the first beta test players will be able to try out three maps from the final release build. Each is a complex maze of brutal interiors, deadly sniping lanes, and wide-open battlefields.
The four game modes: Firefight, Push, Checkpoint, and Skirmish each change the accessible part of the map, drastically altering the available strategies.
Insurgency: Sandstorm releases in September for PC and next year for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
