A new update for battle royale game Ring of Elysium has introduced a 3D spawn selection interface to the game. The interface can be considered the next iteration of the original spawn selection mechanic.

The interface works the same way as the original but now makes it easier for players to spot landmarks. However, the current implementation also makes it more difficult to spot where enemy players will spawn.

Players who preferred the original top-down view are still able to switch to it by clicking a button on the bottom-right corner in the screen. The default keybinds are: middle mouse button to move, scrolling wheels to zoom, and right mouse button to rotate the camera.

The new spawn selection interface seems to be replacing the airship drop spawning system that was introduced with season three. That system was poorly received by the game's community because the original spawn selection mechanic is considered superior.

Ring of Elysium is currently still in its Early Access development phase.
