Indie development studio New World Interactive has announced that it will open a second studio in Canada to support its shooter game Insurgency: Sandstorm.
According to a recent announcement, the new studio will be named New World North and will be located in Calgary, Canada.
The studio will be opened in anticipation of sustained company growth after the "highly successful" PC release of Insurgency: Sandstorm.
It will provide ongoing, post-release support for the game as well as crucial development support for an unannounced future title.
New World North is scheduled to open on May 15, 2019, and is already hiring in all disciplines.
In our review we gave Insurgency: Sandstorm a 7 out of 10, noting that its game performance is hit or miss.
