Indie shooter game Insurgency: Sandstorm will be getting the Ministry map, community server XP gain and a new Frenzy Arcade Mode with an upcoming update, development studio New World Interactive announced.
The new Ministry map is a complete remake of the original Ministry map that was available in the previous Insurgency game. Ministry stood out from other maps with its indoor room-clearing style gameplay, symmetric layout, and stylish visuals.
The game will also be getting community server XP gain. This has been one of the most-requested features ever since the game released. Because the game didn't award XP to those who played on community servers, these servers were considerably less popular than its random cloud server matchmaking counterpart.
In the new Frenzy Arcade Mode, players will experience enemies who slash, burn, teleport, and explode. The mode is said to provide a more intense experience.
Last but not least, the update also includes the VHS-2 and QBZ-03 assault rifles as well as several new weapon optics.
The changes are currently live on the game's test servers and will be releasing on the production branch later this month as part of the 1.3 update.
