EA Dice has announced that Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will be released in November. The game was officially revealed during the Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, Florida, USA.
In the new game players will live the untold Star Wars story of Iden, an elite Stormtrooper, in an new singleplayer story campaign. The game will also feature an improved multiplayer experience by allow players to battle on land and in space.
During the panel hosted at the Star Wars Celebration, the development studio also released an extended version of the trailer that leaked last Wednesday when it briefly appeared on Sony's official PlayStation YouTube channel.
At the start of the trailer it states that the video contains "Game engine footage", which means that the trailer was rendered using the game engine, but does not necessarily mean that the game itself will feature the same graphics, animations or camera movement.
The game will contain content from the prequels as well as the new trilogy and includes characters such as Yoda, Rey, Darth Maul and Kylo Ren.
As usual with titles from EA Games, the game will also feature unnecessary pre-order content in the form of unlocks for several hero characters from Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Star Wars: Battlefront 2 launches on November 17th 2017 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
