Square Enix has announced the PC version of Final Fantasy XV. The game was already available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and is now scheduled to make its way to the PC early 2018.
Final Fantasy XV is the fifteenth main installment in the Final Fantasy series, and shares a thematic connection with Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy, a subseries of games linked by a common mythos which includes Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Type-0.
The game took a major departure from previous Final Fantasy games, providing a darker atmosphere that focuses on more realistic environments and human characters than previous titles.
A PC version was already rumored to be in development since the studio showcased the game's engine running on a single Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti graphics card during Game Developer Conference 2017 in San Francisco, California, USA, back in March.
The PC version of Final Fantasy XV is scheduled to launch in early 2018.
