Square Enix has shown off Final Fantasy XV's game engine in a tech demo at the Game Developer Conference 2017 in San Franchisco earlier today. The tech demo shows what the game's engine is capable of.
In the new video the game's Luminous Studio Pro engine is shown, the engine is a a multi-platform game engine developed and used internally by Square Enix and is the result of a partnership between Square Enix and Nvidia.
Several maps and models included in Final Fantasy XV were also used in the tech demo to showcase the engine's capabilities.
In the video the tech demo is powered by a single Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti graphics card. The card was announced ealier this week and will be available starting next week.
A PC release of Final Fantasy XV has not yet been announced, but the new tech demo clearly shows that the game's engine is more than capable to support a PC version.
Final Fantasy XV was released on November 29th 2016 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
