The PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds snow map Vikendi will be releasing for consoles next week, development studio PUBG Corp. announced. The map is already available on the PC version.

The new snow map brings new tactical gameplay to the game. Players who maneuver through the snow will leave temporary marks that allows enemies to hunt them down. Vehicles will be more slippery in snow or icy areas with acceleration being slower.

The new map is said to feature gameplay that is quicker than Erangel and Miramar, but offers an arguably more tactical experience than Sanhok.

The Vikendi map will release on January 22, 2019, for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It is already available on the PC version.
