ArenaNet has announced that the Guild Wars 2 Super Adventure Festival will return this Thursday. During the event a pixel art themed minigame is available via one of the game's major cities.

The event brings back access to the Super Adventure Box that is located in Rata Sum. In this minigame players can collect Bauble Bubble currency which they can trade in for unique items such as toys, weapon skins and guild hall decorations. This year's edition is said to introduce several new items.

The minigame is perhaps best described as a game within a game as it is essentially an 8-bit platformer game featuring a completely separate story line, jumping puzzles, multiple levels and upgradable items.

In addition to normal mode, the box also provides the easy infantile mode and the hardcore tribulation mode to ensure both new and old players are challenged.

The Guild Wars 2 Super Adventure Festival will be available between March 28, 2019, and April 18, 2019.
