Bethesda has announced a new beta version of Fallout 4 that includes a modding framework called Creation Kit. The Creation Kit framework is a set of tools that help modders deliver new unique content for the game. According to the game's developer the framework contains the same tools that the developer has used to create the original game.
Mods that are created with the framework will allow authors to publish them on a new website that has been set up for the framework. It is expected that mods that were created for the PC version of the game will work in a similar fashion on the console version of the game though how this exactly works out is still unknown.
"We believe that our games become something much more special, when we put the power of creation in your hands. New quests, environments, characters, dialogue, outfits, weapons and more – with Mods, the possibilities of what you can do are endless." reads the statement.
The 1.5 update for the game is available now though Steam by enabling the beta client through the Steam library options.
