The action adventure game Beyond Good and Evil 2 will be making its way to most major platforms. That can be decuded from platform logos that were brief on the game's official website.
The sequel to the 2003 original was announced three days ago during Ubisoft's E3 2017 press conference. The game was teased with the release of a cinematic trailer.
Beyond Good and Evil 2 is the spiritual successor to 2003 classic Beyond Good and Evil. The prequel will transport players into a "profoundly multicultural world", capturing the spirit of the original with "grandiose decors" and "intense dramas" that play out across a vast universe.
In the game players will journey to System 3, the center of interstellar trade and colonization in the Milky Way of the 24th century, thanks to the creation of Hybrid slaves.
While private enterprises fight over resources and power, the first colonists weave together the rich and diverse spiritual and cultural heritages of Old Earth to give meaning to their existence.
In this new era of piracy, players will rise from lowly pirate to legendary captain at the helm of massive star-faring vessels, adventuring alongside crews of characters to fight for freedom.
The new Space Monkey Program is said to "invite passionate and engaged members of the community to participate in the development" of the game. Players will be able to crash-test, discuss and inspire "everything from character design to cultural influences, to flight controls of our masive star-faring vessles."
Beyond Good and Evil 2 is expected to launch in the fall of 2018 for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4.
