Sony has announced that the racing game Gran Turismo Sport will be be launching in October. The game has been in development for several years and has seen numerous delays.
In 1997 Gran Turismo introduced the ability to realistically recreate automobiles in 3DCG and allowed gamers to virtually experience them on their home consoles.

Since then, the developer claims the Gran Turismo franchise has recorded a total of 76.74 million copies shipped worldwide.
The developer aims to expand on the existing Gran Turismo franchise gameplay by delivering new tracks, new vehicles, improved gameplay and features.
Gran Turismo Sport launches on October 18, 2017, exclusively for PlayStation 4.
