The upcoming open-world action adventure game Shenmue 3 has been delayed to November. The game was scheduled to release in August.
According to a recent announcement, the development studio needs additional time to deliver "the true Shenmue experience players around the world deserve."
Shenmue 3 sees the continuation of the epic story-driven saga. The player controls teenage martial artist Ryo Hazuki as he investigates his father's murder.
Players must explore the game's open world, searching for clues, examining objects and talking to non-player characters for information, taking them further into enemy territory, deeper into mystery, and even closer to their destiny.
The game is said to be the true sequel to the previous open-world role-playing games in the franchise. The game is built upon Unreal Engine 4 to power its visuals.
Shenmue 3 is now scheduled to release on November 19, 2019.
