Codemasters has announced that the racing game DiRT 4 will be coming to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this year. The development studio released an announcement trailer for the game ealier today.
According to a recent press release, the new game is the direct sequel to DiRT 3 and will be combining the realism featured in the spin-off game DiRT Rally with the accessibility of DiRT 2 and DiRT 3.
The game will feature a new rally route creation tool called Your Stage that allows players to produce a near infinite number of unique stages at the touch of a button.
The Your Stage tool works by selecting from a list of predefined environments and then tweaking parameters with sliders to generate random stages. Created stages can be shared with friends to allow them to beat your best time.
The game will include similar game modes as those featured in DiRT 3, including white-knuckle truck and buggy racing in the Landrush game mode.
DiRT 4 launches in June 2017 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
