The battle royale mode featured in Battlefield V will be titled Firestorm, development studio EA Dice announced yesterday. The mode is one of the multiplayer modes available in the game.
In the Firestorm battle royale mode up to 64 players play against each other in squads of up to four players. This means that 16 teams will fight to be the last squad standing.
The new mode is said to feature the largest Battlefield multiplayer map ever created, featuring destructible buildings, weaponry and vehicles.
As Firestorm matches progress the survival circle will become smaller and smaller until players are surrounded by fire, leaving few places to hide or search.
The Battlefield V open beta test that starts on September 6th will not give players access to the Firestorm mode.
