Batman: The Telltale Series will be released in August as digital download Telltale Games has confirmed. A retail package will also be available in September.
In Batman: The Telltale Series players take the role of Batman as both the superhero and as Bruce Wayne, his alter-ego with the game being set a few years after Wayne decides to become Batman.
The game features a similar branching narrative as other past Telltale games, giving the player options for how to approach a situation and having that choice affect later events in the game.
Batman: The Telltale Series is rendered to look like a living, breathing comic book, and features an award-winning cast of talent including Troy Baker in the role of Bruce Wayne, Travis Willingham as Harvey Dent and Erin Yvette as Vicki Vale.
The game will be separated into five episodes, released in intervals. The first episode will be released in August as digital download with additional episodes releasing later this year. Players who are interested in purchasing a boxed copy of the game can pick one up starting September 13th in America and September 16th in Europe.
The boxed copy of the game comes as a special Season Pass Disc, which will include the first of five episodes in the season, and will grant access to the subsequent four episodes as they become available for download via online updates
