The role-playing game Kingdom Come: Deliverance will be getting a Hardcore Mode via a free update, development studio Warhorse Studios announced.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance is set in an open-world environment and is played from a first-person perspective. Players play as Henry, the son of a blacksmith, as he fights invading forces to avenge the death of his parents.
The Hardcore Mode is said to be aimed at "maximum immersion". The HUD has been significantly altered and simplified. Map navigation and compass have been reworked so that players have to navigate using landmarks. Fast travel is disabled and overall survival is more difficult.
In addition, combat is said to be "a lot more realistic and fairer" to your opponents. There are harsher penalties for using damaged items, so taking regular care of your equipment is a must.
The new Kingdom Come: Deliverance Hardcore Mode will be available later today.
