Sony has announced a Back Button Attachment for the Sony DualShock 4 PlayStation 4 controller. The attachment adds two programmable back buttons to the controller.

The accessory will allow players to map up to 16 different actions to the two back buttons and keep track of your customised setup via an integrated OLED display.

A dedicated button is also available to remap back button inputs on the fly. Players can save and choose up to three different profiles for use in various games and there is also a headset pass-through for connecting any 3.5mm wired headset to the controller.

It is rumored that the attachment will make the existing PlayStation 4 controller compatible with the PlayStation 5. Godfall is the first PlayStation 5 game to have been shown. It will also release for the PC.

The Back Button Attachment launches across in North America on January 23, 2020, and in Europe on February 14, 2020. The attachment will retail for $29.99 in North America and €29.99 in Europe.
