De Blob 2 will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch in August, publisher THQ Nordic has confirmed. The game was already released for other modern consoles in February.

The console version of De Blob 2 features the same content as the remastered edition that was released for the PC in 2017. The original game launched in 2008 for the Nintendo Wii.

The console version will also includes competitive splitscreen multiplayer functionality.

In the game players control Blob, a character that can mix colors in order to paint objects and bring life to the cityscape to unlock new areas.

Blob is given various missions by his friends, including timed races, defeating enemies, liberating captured characters and seizing important landmarks.

De Blob 2 for Nintendo Switch releases on August 28, 2018. It is also available for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
