Developer Ubisoft, better known for Assassin’s Creed, Watch Dogs, and Far Cry games, will announce a new game ahead of E3 2016. The company has confirmed this during their latest investor briefing call. Alain Matrinez, CFO at Ubisoft, stated that Ubisoft would give a "full flavor" of the game at E3. Yves Guillemot, CEO at Ubisoft, later stated that a reveal prior to E3 would be likely.
The game is expected to be a brand new IP not connected to Ubisoft's other titles. At E3 the company will most likely show first gameplay videos as part of the game's announcement to familiarize audiences with the new IP.
Back in 2014 Ubisoft polled it's fanbase with a survey asking whether players would be interested in a game that has its gameplayed based on Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, released back in October of 2013. In addition the survey mentions strong multiplayer elements and polled players thoughts about using Assassin’s Creed branding for the new game.
