Development studio 4A Games has released six new screenshots of its upcoming shooter game Metro Exodus. The game releases in February.
In the game players flee the shattered ruins of dead Moscow and embark on an "epic, continent-spanning" journey across post-apocalyptic Russia.
Players will explore the Russian wilderness in "vast, non-linear levels" and follow a storyline that is inspired by the novels of Dmitry Glukhovsky that spans an entire year through spring, summer and autumn to the depths of nuclear winter.
The game's dangerous and hostile world is a constant threat as radiation levels are high. Players will have to monitor their gasmask filters and their available resources to craft items and ammunition.
Earlier this week we reported on the game being released one week earlier than expected.
Metro Exodus releases on February 15, 2019, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
