Development studio The Farm 51 has announced the Early Access date for its upcoming sci-fi survival horror game Chernobylite. The game will release for PC and consoles in 2020.
According to a recent announcement, the game will make its way to Steam Early Access on October 16, 2019. A Closed Alpha test for Kickstarter backers will start on September 17, 2019, and will be available for an entire month.
The Early Access build will provide players with access to three open-world, dynamically changing areas of the Chernobyl exclusion zone to play through eight hours of singleplayer story content.
The game is said to be mixing the free exploration of a 3D-scanned recreation of the real Chernobyl Exclusion Zone with challenging combat, unique crafting, and non-linear storytelling.
Players play as a physicist, one of the Chernobyl Power Plant's ex-employees, and investigate the mysterious disappearance of your beloved. Try to survive and reveal the contamination zone's twisted secrets. The military presence is not your only concern.
Chernobylite is scheduled to release in 2020 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
