According to Seeley, the sequel will feature a new story that is currently eight times as big as the original Emily is Away story. This is in part because Emily Is Away Too has a large number of different endings for the player to reach.

The original title received popularity because it featured many references to the internet culture from the early 2000s. In the game players played as a teenager who chats with the chat bot Emerly35 by selecting from a variety of responses to advance the story.

The first game is available for free on Steam. The sequel has been added to Steam earlier today, but it is unknown if it will also be available free of charge.

Emily is Away Too launches in May 2017 exclusively for the PC.
