Development studio Hello Games has released a new trailer for its No Man's Sky Beyond update. The update releases next week for all platforms.

The new Beyond update was announced in March and combines what was initially planned to be three large separate updates. These three components are online multiplayer, virtual reality and new content.

Back in March, Hello Games' CEO Sean Murray stated on social media that the update will not turn No Man's Sky Online into an MMO experience, but that it will "bring people together like never before, and has many recognizable online elements."

According to the studio, everything that you see in the latest trailer can be experienced in virtual reality if you have a headset. Virtual reality will not be a separate mode, but rather the entire game brought to life in virtual reality. It will be available for PlayStation VR and Steam VR, and will be released simultaneously on both platforms.

Not all elements of the Beyond update have been revealed yet. The studio will be revealing the last parts of the update later this week.

No Man's Sky Beyond update releases on August 14, 2019, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
